Trevor

..is 9 today!! Happy Birthday from Uncle Wayne, Aunt Beana, Kara, and Michael!!

Wedding Bells

So next Saturday my brother Billy is getting married. For the past week every time I would sit down and think about it tears would start forming in my eyes. They are all happy tears of course. Even though he is only 14 months younger than me I feel like he is too young to be getting married....I guess that's just me being overprotective of him. Billy is such a wonderful person. He is very kind-hearted, has a wonderful soul, and always has a way of making me smile (even when I don't want to). He has been through so much......and I just want him to know that I love him dearly and wish a world of happiness and good fortune (not necessarily money, but the richness of a strong loving marriage)!

Oh Michael....

so many of you already know that Michael is a climber...BIG TIME!! Well the other day Kara came running to tell me that Michael was in the sink...in the bathroom. This is what I saw when I rushed into the bathroom...pics aren't too great, oh and don't mind the water spots on the mirror....those are courtesy of Kara!

I'm just brushing my teeth mom!

..see they are super clean!

The soaked bottom

Oh and I almost forgot..last night Michael went to bed without a pacifier....and is trying to go to sleep as we speak without one for his nap......so far no crying today.

Wow!!! 15 years!

Congrats to my sister Corinna and her hubby Tim on their 15th wedding anniversary. It is awesome that they have been married this long. I can't say enough about them.....they have been through so much together and apart when Tim was in Iraq. They also have 3 wonderful kids that I am proud to call my nieces and nephew.Look how young they look...that's because they were....they were only 19 and 18 years old!!!!

.....and this is them NOW!!!

Happy Birthday to my Dad!!

Happy Birthday to the GREATEST Dad ever!!!

Sunday, August 17, 2008

It's been a long week.....

So last Wednesday evening Wayne left for his brother's wedding in Montana. I was glad he was going because he hasn't seen his brother since Kara was around 5 months old and his mom was last here right after Michael was born, but at the same time I knew I would miss him terribly! So it's been just me and the kids for 5 long days. They've been pretty good except for a few days....thinking they were missing Daddy and were acting out because of it. Once he left things got a tad crazy. Our house was invaded by ANTS!! They were in the kitchen, on the coat closet door, the bathrooms...so thankfully my bug guy came and sprayed the inside of the house at 7am on Friday morning. I got the urge to just do some major cleaning around the house...bathrooms from top to bottom. I mowed both lawns today while it was stinkin' HOT outside.....and then after the kids went to bed I somehow got the wonderful idea to clean the garage....WHY.....I DON'T KNOW!! However I did discover that I didn't have as much stuff that Wayne thought I had and has been telling me I need to go through it!! But it's now time for me to shower and get to bed and I am happy to say my HUBBY is coming home tomorrow evening!! Yay....we have been missing him terribly!! For now I leave you with a couple of pics of Kara and Michael...

My mom and I went to Target recently and Kara decided she was going to try on a bra. I don't think she realizes that she isn't quite ready for them or at it is upside down!

I just absolutely love Michael's eyes and his infectious smile.....don't you?

Michael loved the petting zoo...he is not afraid of animals at all
Kara loved the bumper cars with Uncle Tim....poor thing couldn't really see in front of her
Kara's very first rollar coaster ride...and she loved it!

We all had a great time and were extremely exhausted at the end of the day!

Company Picnic

Yesterday was the annual Desilva Gates Company Picnic (the company my dad works for) up in Pleasanton. They have all sorts of fun activities for the family and kids such as the super slide, alligator coaster, petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, bumper cars, face painting, and more!!
The kids also got to play games and each got a Build-A-Bear animal!!
Yep that's my dad standing on the end!!
10 years of service..
do you notice the recliner behind my dad?? well they gave those away, a washer and dryer, lots of tools, and more.
My dad got a cannon powersot digital camera for his 10 years...how awesome is that!

Right after we get there and he is already eating..couldn't wait for the rest of us
