Sad times...

This past Wednesday we made a trip down to the Valencia area for a funeral. It was for Wayne's Grandpa Barton. Unfortunately he passed away from cancer. He was such a sweet man who had a smile that could light up the darkest room. He loved his family, especially his 8 grandkids and 4 great grandkids!! I have been trying to find a picture of him to post and I can't seem to find one. Lots of pictures were taken that day and this one was taken by Wayne's Uncle Danny. Not a bad family picture....considering the somber mood and one very tired 23 month old!!!!

We love you Grandpa Barton and know that you are in a better place watching over us. I will definately be thinking about him and many others during the Relay for Life today!

Happy Easter to All!

We had a wonderful Easter with the family. The kids actually hunted eggs several times. We hid eggs Saturday night because Wayne had to make a suddent trip down to L.A. (his grandpa was in the hospital). We had Easter Sunday at Aunt Corinna's house and got to see our cousins that we don't see as often as we would like. The kids and I then headed out to Wayne's uncle's house in Atwater for more Easter fun!!our bright and colorful eggs

Moving Day....

This was the scene a week ago this past Saturday. With the help from my dad, brother, and friends me moved across town. I didn't get many pictures taken since I was kinda busy but I did manage a couple.
Michael was having a good time running in and out of the truck!
Once we are all settled in the house I will take some new pictures of the house.

What's new...

It's been awhile since my last post. I don't have any pictures to post right now...sorry. Just haven't taken the time to upload them from the camera.

We've been busy packing the house getting ready for the BIG moving day...April 4th!

Kara is very excited to move to a "new" house. She keeps telling us that she want's bumble bees in her room.

This is making it easier leaving her wonderfully painted room that my mom did when we moved in. I'm very much attached to her room and Michael's. I know it's just paint and someday when we decide to buy a house again we can, well my mom can, create another special room for Kara.

Michael obviously doesn't have a clue about the move...he just knows that there are moving boxes all over the place....things he can climb..and in the process give mommy a heart attack!!

Well that's it for now...I will try to post some new pics very soon....

The past week...

was nice. We had some decent weather which gave me a chance to take the kids outside.

We went for a walk and Kara rode her bike and of course had to blow some bubbles!!

I have been off work for 2 weeks and have enjoyed every minute of it yet I want to go back to work this next week...call me crazy!

This was the view we have been fortunate to see this week on our way home. Such a breathtaking view.

Spirit Days..

..are fun! Today's spirit day was Student's dress like teachers and Teachers dress like the students. Well I think the teachers had more fun with this one than the kids did!! All of the first grade teachers wore signs on our backs saying "I owe recess....I have to sit on the number." We also ended up in the vice principal's office with a group referral. Our punishment was a 2 week suspension!!Most of the 1st grade crew and one 2nd grade teacher in the vice principal's office....

4 wonderful years..

have gone by with such a fun loving little girl! My baby girl is now 4 years old!

We had a small gathering for her with a Scottie Dog/Polka Dot theme. It came out very cute...I'll be sure to post some pics later. However for now I leave you with birthday pics from the last 4 years!

Family Fishing Trip

So Kara has been wanting to go fishing ever since she got her Sponge Bob fishing pole for Christmas. We decided that we would leave early this morning and head up to Lake McClure.

We first went to Horse Shoe Bend.............we didn't see any action at all....Kara became easily bored but still enjoyed herself.

After we didn't see anything we got a tip from the Ranger guy that there was a lot of action over at Barret's Cove (south ramp). So we decided to make a stop.

This little girl has changed my life so much! She has made it so much richer than it ever was before. I can't believe she is going to be 4!! One more year and my baby girl will be going to kindergarten...which she told me she can't wait until she is grown up and can go to school with me!
