We finally got a puppy for the family. Some wonderful people were giving away a golden lab puppy and we were lucky to receive it. She is 10 weeks old and already has a name, Roxy! The name fits her personality already. Kara is not afraid at all, she has been running around with it since we brought her home. Wayne is also very happy, he has been wanting a dog ever since we got the house.

I didn't forget Sally....
Quite a while ago I took pictures of my stockings I made for Wayne, Kara, and I. I mentioned them to Sally and she said to post them so she could see. Well many many many days later I finally got around to post them. I love how they turned out, I even made one for our soon to be new addition to the family, Michael William (sorry no picture, but it is equally as cute as the rest)!!

Happenings......
Transitioning Kara from her crib to her daybed has gone very well! She is still sleeping through the night, however on a few occasions she has woken up from a dream, but falls back to sleep soon. The second night she decided she didn't want to sleep in her bed and wondered into the livingroom. I'm not sure how long she was asleep on the couch. Here is a picture of how I found her the next morning.....
This is how Kara has discovered she can get to the countertops in the kitchen. Anything and everything, she turns into something to stand on!!!!

The crib is no longer....
Yesterday while folding laundry Wayne got tired of chasing Kara down for the clothes he just folded. So he decided to put her in her crib.....well that didn't last long. He heard a thump and out ran Kara!! She finally scaled the walls of her crib and made it over the side. Wayne took the front railing off and Kara is now sleeping in her very own BIG GIRL bed. I love that the crib converts into a daybed. I was worried that she wouldn't sleep well through the night thinking....what if she rolls out and wakes up crying(we don't have a safety railing on it) and then doesn't want to go back down. Well it is now 6:35am and she hasn't made a sound all night...so either she fell out of it and kept sleeping or she actually stayed on the bed. I'm hoping for the latter. Anyways I am very excited but a little sad that my first baby is getting so big. What's next?? Potty Training....
Pictures to soon follow..of the bed..not the potty training!!

Good friends and Cookies!!!
For the past 7 years my mom has held a Christmas Tea/Cookie Exchange. Not only do we get to enjoy a delicious pot luck lunch and yummy cookies, we also make a project. Every year is different from the last...some projects are much harder than the others, like the snowman tree from last year!! The day isn't the same without some playful complaining regarding each project...Barbara is the funniest!! Our project this year was a stocking wall hanging appliqued with felt patterns. Anyways here are a few pics from this years get together...

Thanksgiving and Dirt!!
It finally happened..............Kara ate dirt!! We were outside yesterday watching daddy put up the Christmas Lights. I heard Kara spitting and turned around to find her with a mouth full of dirt. It was up in her gums all over her teeth, she desperately needed some brushing. I am so proud!!
Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

The Santa Claus 3....Kara's first trip to the movies
Last night we went to the movies with the rest of my family: mom, dad, sister and her family, brother, and his girlfriend Lacey. Wayne wasn't able to go since he had to work. Well anyways we went and saw the Santa Claus 3. It is a very cute movie and Kara did great! She sat through most of the movie and then stood in front of us for the rest. She would clap and yell "ooohhhh, and wow!!" Grandma and Grandpa also bought her very own popcorn, well she shared with mommy. She cleaned the bag out and still wanted more. All in all I can say the first trip to the movie theatre with Kara was a success.
Just a cute pic of Kara reading a book. She LOVES her books!!

Here Kitty Kitty.....
We all had a great time this Halloween. Kara is a little older this year, and seemed to enjoy everything about it, especially Trick-or-Treating!! Kara was a little black kitty this year, just like mommy was in the 1st grade. Grandma Vivian made her hat and tail. The only way we could get her to wear it was to tell her it was cold outside! Kara went Trick-or-Treating with her cousins Chelsea, Scarlett, and Trevor. The last half of the trip around my parents neighborhood she finally got the concept and was running with her cousins shouting Trick Treat and Thank You!! We stopped at Nonnie's (Donavan's) house and saw our good friends Rachel and Charlotte,http://bountystwins.blogspot.com/, who were dressed like cute monkeys!MEOW!!
Hey Grandma....lights!!
Cutest kitty in town....
Kara is looking for the moon! She loves to find the moon in the sky and constantly point and yell!!

Clowning Around...
After shopping yesterday Kara was in a very good mood as always! I bought her some new cable knit tights and tried them on. Well as you can see they come almost up to her armpits!! That's my petite girl!! Kara loves getting super close to the camera and yelling cheese, which makes it very difficult to get some shots of her! Hope you like!
Gotta love that great BIG smile!! It never fails to brighten my day!

Got Milk??
Kara is becoming such a big girl. She gets very upset when you try to help her with anything involving food. Kara has been wanting to drink independently from a cup the last couple of days so at breakfast I gave her the opportunity...with her own special glass. Kara did very well. We only had one accident with the cup. I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of her milk mustache!!
