I've been tagged....

Sally tagged me and I'm supposed to list 5 weird things about myself, even though there are far more than 5....

1. I love to watch cows run and play(frolic). I have no idea why, I just think they are way cute.

2. Little things amuse me, like using an electric pencil sharpener next to the T.V. The T.V. gets all fuzzy.

3. I don't like Kubby the Bear. Kubb Country's mascot. He is very freaky and I've had numerous nightmares about him.

4. When I eat Strawberry Short Cake I don't like to eat the strawberries on top of the short cake. It has to be seperate otherwise the shortcake gets all soggy and gross.

5. I sleep with a blanket that has silk around the edges. Started as a child, my sister and I would call it tickle. We would fold the silk into a point and rub it on our face. Very relaxing.........

The Butler Household is EXPANDING!!!

Guess what???? Kara is going to be a big sister!!
We are happy to say that we are expecting and are due sometime around
the beginning to middle of May.
We thought it would be cute to let Kara announce our special news
by wearing it. Below Kara is proudly wearing her
"I'm going to be a BIG sister" t-shirt.

Pure Bliss

After a crazy day spent with 20 6yr olds I can't wait to get home to Kara. Yesterday was one of those days. Kids always seem to find a way to make you smile, especially if it's your own. Kara and I were laying on the couch together and she turned to face me. For what seemed many hours she just layed next to me talking and singing, with the occasional hug followed by the words: I La Loo (i love you). My heart was overflowing with her sentiments!! She would poke at my face and laugh, if I whispered something to her she would whisper back. This kept going, we sang songs and then she would tell me to SSHHHH!!!!! Finally she whispered Night Night, and we walked to her bedroom together. I was tempted to just let her fall asleep next to me on the couch. I love our special moments like the one we shared last night.......................

The Bucket Chronicles

Kara loves to play with anything and everything....well my very talented daughter has taken a liking to wearing a bucket on her head. She likes to run around laughing and yelling mommy, all the while laughing hysterically! I managed to snap a few pics of the buckethead tonight.

The second picture is a little creepy and funny all at the same time. I hope you enjoy the photos!

When Kara Attacks..............

Kara seems to love the camera lately. And as you can see she likes to get closer and closer and even closer until she is right on top of the camera...............

Can we say bad hair day?

Many times Kara wakes up with some very interesting hair styles. This was one of those days, I couldn't help but snap a few pictures.....You have to love her smile!!

The Zoo

We had a lovely time at the zoo, I personally enjoyed watching Kara enjoy the elephants!! She yelled at them in between snacking on Pink Popcorn...thanks Grandma!

Daddy thought it would be cute to have Kara sit in the Hippo's mouth....she didn't want to stay there long...

Aren't we glad our babies aren't born as big as baby giraffes. Could you even imagine having a baby that is 6ft tall.....I think not!!

It's about time!!!!

Ok, so I finally downloaded pictures off my camera....which would've happened soon had I been able to find the adapter to connect to my computer! Well anyways......I thought it might be nice to share a few pictures of Kara with her Uncle Brian, who was on leave from the Navy. I've included some pictures from our Father's Day trip to the zoo.

Kara playing ball with her Uncle Brian.

.....and later managed to get him to read a book to her......Cinderella.

A dream of many.......meeting Elvis!!

Kara and I got to have our picture taken with "Elvis". He seranaded "Love Me Tender" to Kara, and she didn't quite know what to think of him. She stared him down though!
Posing with some of the 1st grade team. From left to right: Ernesto, Melanie, Elvis, Michele, Me, and Kara!!

Is that Elvis????

At the end of the year party for Los Banos Elementary the teachers were surprised with a visit from Elvis. It was a memorable event, and I will truely miss my co-workers!

Elvis rocking out in Dos Palos, Ca!!!

Landon Wayne Staggs

Back in May, Kara and I had the pleasure of meeting one of my best friend's little man. Landon Wayne Staggs was born on March 1, 2006. His mom, Tamara, was one of my bridesmaids. I love her dearly.

The entire time that I was holding Landon, Kara wouldn't leave my side. She let him know that I was her Mommy!!!

It was such a joy to hold a newborn once again!

Kara didn't quite know what to think of Landon when she held him,
and by the look on his face he didn't either!!

Hard Drive Drama

It's been a long time since I last posted any pictures and believe me there is a perfectly good reason. Out of the blue, my hard drive decided to crash, so therefore I lost everything. Luckily Wayne has some pictures on disks and some on his computer. But even that couldn't console me and I cried like a BABY!!!! My warranty is still good, so I got a new Hard Drive and everything is GREAT thanks to DELL and a dear friend, Aarin. Stay tuned to new pics.......

Can we say cheeeessseee!!!

We love to give the cheesiest grins, anything to make mommy laugh!
This was right before she attacked me and the camera!
In the past couple of days Kara has been into carrying a purse and wearing her sunglasses! Doing pretty good in the first picture.....and then she decided to wear it as a hat! Which brings me to another point....she also loves to put things on her head ranging from clothes (shorts and shirts) to boxes, buckets, etc. I know, my child is very talented!

The Great Outdoors

Kara seems to have a fondness for grass.....it looks like she is searching for treasure! I wonder what it could be.........

Taking a stroll around the back yard. Our grass is coming in wonderfully and Kara loves to roam around. We were supposed to be swimming in her brand new pool, however Kara had other ideas!
