Wow!!! 15 years!

Congrats to my sister Corinna and her hubby Tim on their 15th wedding anniversary. It is awesome that they have been married this long. I can't say enough about them.....they have been through so much together and apart when Tim was in Iraq. They also have 3 wonderful kids that I am proud to call my nieces and nephew.Look how young they look...that's because they were....they were only 19 and 18 years old!!!!

.....and this is them NOW!!!

Happy Birthday to my Dad!!

Happy Birthday to the GREATEST Dad ever!!!

Sunday, August 17, 2008

It's been a long week.....

So last Wednesday evening Wayne left for his brother's wedding in Montana. I was glad he was going because he hasn't seen his brother since Kara was around 5 months old and his mom was last here right after Michael was born, but at the same time I knew I would miss him terribly! So it's been just me and the kids for 5 long days. They've been pretty good except for a few days....thinking they were missing Daddy and were acting out because of it. Once he left things got a tad crazy. Our house was invaded by ANTS!! They were in the kitchen, on the coat closet door, the bathrooms...so thankfully my bug guy came and sprayed the inside of the house at 7am on Friday morning. I got the urge to just do some major cleaning around the house...bathrooms from top to bottom. I mowed both lawns today while it was stinkin' HOT outside.....and then after the kids went to bed I somehow got the wonderful idea to clean the garage....WHY.....I DON'T KNOW!! However I did discover that I didn't have as much stuff that Wayne thought I had and has been telling me I need to go through it!! But it's now time for me to shower and get to bed and I am happy to say my HUBBY is coming home tomorrow evening!! Yay....we have been missing him terribly!! For now I leave you with a couple of pics of Kara and Michael...

My mom and I went to Target recently and Kara decided she was going to try on a bra. I don't think she realizes that she isn't quite ready for them or at it is upside down!

I just absolutely love Michael's eyes and his infectious smile.....don't you?

We all had a great time and were extremely exhausted at the end of the day!

Company Picnic

Yesterday was the annual Desilva Gates Company Picnic (the company my dad works for) up in Pleasanton. They have all sorts of fun activities for the family and kids such as the super slide, alligator coaster, petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, bumper cars, face painting, and more!!
The kids also got to play games and each got a Build-A-Bear animal!!
Yep that's my dad standing on the end!!
10 years of service..
do you notice the recliner behind my dad?? well they gave those away, a washer and dryer, lots of tools, and more.
My dad got a cannon powersot digital camera for his 10 years...how awesome is that!

Right after we get there and he is already eating..couldn't wait for the rest of us

......CHANGE THE BEAT!!!
Kara did her adorable hip hop dance at the fair this year!

we're gonna stomp the floor...

peace out!

Fair Time

We took the kids to the fair and they enjoyed themselves. We ventured into the animal barns and they got to ride the ponies....stayed away from the rides, not quite ready for that.

We thought this was pretty cool....Wayne liked it a lot..a bbq shaped like a gun!

Michael loved the little chicks

I love this pic

Kara on her pony named Romeo

Michael's very 1st pony ride ever on Whisper! He loved it..a true cowboy

My little firefighter

Kara also had a sleepover at grandmas. This was the first time she had asked to sleep over there. She didn't even want me to come inside...kept turning around telling me good bye mommy..go home!

Some Michael space....

Michael is such a silly boy! He is learning so many new things every day. I often catch him trying to mess with his sister when she has fallen asleep on the couch. And for the record...she never wakes up which is probably lucky for Michael!!

Hello!!

kisses...

aww.....she needed a hug

nose.....what you don't see is that right after I snapped the picture he nearly had his finger in her nose!

and now he's done

because it's so much more fun playing IN the toy basket

silly Michael

Kara's Recital

At the end of June Kara had her BIG recital for Danisa's School of Dance. She did a fabulous job and was the cutest ballerina ever!
